Privacy Policy

KangarooPTE is an independent PTE Academic practice platform. It is not affiliated with, authorised by, or endorsed by Pearson. This policy explains what limited information is involved when you use the site and how it is handled.

KangarooPTE does not require an account, and we do not ask for your name, email, or payment details to practise. The only data involved is:

• Usage analytics (optional). With your consent, we use Google Analytics 4 to understand which pages and features are used — for example pages viewed, buttons clicked, approximate location (country/city, derived from your IP by Google; we do not store your IP), and device/browser type. This is used in aggregate to improve the product. If you decline, these analytics cookies are not set.
• A functional session. When you start a mock test, an anonymous identifier is stored in a cookie so your progress can resume if you refresh. It is not linked to your identity and expires automatically.
• Practice responses. Answers you submit (text, choices, and speaking recordings) are processed to generate your practice score and feedback. They are not tied to any identity and are not used to build a profile of you.

• Strictly necessary. The anonymous mock-session cookie above is required for the test runner to work and does not need consent.
• Analytics (optional). Google Analytics sets cookies such as _ga and _ga_<id>only after you accept them in the cookie banner. You can change your mind any time by clearing this site’s data in your browser, which will bring the banner back.

We use Google Analytics for the optional analytics described above, and our site is hosted on Vercel, which processes standard request logs to serve pages securely. We do not sell your data or share it for advertising — KangarooPTE runs no ads.

• Accept or decline analytics cookies in the banner shown on your first visit.
• Use your browser settings to block or delete cookies at any time.
• Install Google’s Analytics opt-out add-on to opt out across all sites.

We may update this policy as the product evolves (for example, when accounts and payments are added). Material changes will be reflected in the “last updated” date above.
